Georgia’s struggles at the plate continued into a second weekend.
Missouri pitcher Rob Sastryzny pitched a seven-hit shutout as the Tigers blanked the Bulldogs 4-0 on Friday at Foley Field. Georgia actually out-hit Missouri 7-5 but failed to score any runs.
Georgia has now gone scoreless for 16 straight Southeastern Conference innings after dropping the series finale at Kentucky 5-0 last Sunday. Georgia has failed to push a run across in two complete league games plus the last two innings of the Bulldogs’ 7-6 win against Kentucky last Saturday.
